More About Me…

It’s an honour and a privilege to join the coaching team at Hazelwood.

My association with the club began in 1986 when I played Middlesex League matches.

Between then and now I’ve worked and played at venues such as Gosling, Cuffley, run a parks project in the Borough of Broxbourne and latterly Hoddesdon.

I’m a Level Five Master Performance Coach and an LTA Tutor.

I represented England in the Home Internationals in 1989, having reached the final qualifying round of Wimbledon ladies doubles.

As a senior I have represented Great Britain and captained the 40s team in Perth in 2005.

I’m very excited to begin working at such an auspicious club where I am already fortunate to have many friends and a fellow Watford fan too!

I have been playing tennis at Hazelwood from the age of 7. I started out my coaching career in 2015 as on of the club “hitters” which I thoroughly enjoyed. I have since moved on to become a full time tennis coach and junior tennis programme co-ordinator. I couldn’t of had a better introduction into coaching through Hazelwood Sports Club.

More About Me…

I’ve played and competed at Hazelwood since a young age and have grown up at the club. At 19 I attended Leeds Beckett University, where I represented the University in BUCS and National Club League. I was able to work and train with county and national standard players. Allowing me to expand my coaching knowledge, and graduating in Sport development allowed me to understand how to develop and manage a sports club.

I started playing tennis at the age of 5 at Islington Tennis centre. At the age of 7 I joined the FCUK academy which at the time was based at Hazelwood Sports Club. I started my coaching career in 2015. I have competed at a high university level and have hit with multiple national and international professional players. I coach a variety of different ages and abilities so please do not hesitate to contact me for further details.
