Squash 57 (Racketball)

Over the last 20 years, when Squash was treading water, there has been a large increase in racketball participation. Played on the same court with a larger ‘bouncier’ ball and a shorter racket many ex squash players have taken it up.  The rigours of squash take a toll over time on the joints and racketball is a great game and workout without the same pressure on the knees. The rules are similar to squash and easily learned.

A Racketball ‘doubles’ club night  runs on a Friday  from 5.30 – 700pm.

Fees

Squash & Racketball membership is £25 per month (£285 for a one off annual payment) and each time you play the court cost is £3.50 each player which is managed through the booking system.

A court is 45 minutes and with LED lighting now installed the lights come on 5 minutes before your booking time, allowing you to warm up (subject to if anyone is already on court). After the standard 45 minutes of play the lights remain on for a further 15 minutes which you can use if you are not ‘knocked off’ by the next pair to play.

So, for the total court fee of £7.00 you are guaranteed 45 minutes of play but could play for 65 minutes ,at no extra cost, if the court is free before and after your allotted time.

Additional Information

Your Squash and Racketball Membership also includes Padel membership. This is an up and coming game played outside. More details can be found under the ‘Padel’ section on the website.
